City of Wilsonville releases its 2013 annual Report for Our Community

by: JOSH KULLA - The Reptile Man Rich Ritchie was a highlight of the Wilsonville Public Library's children's summer reading program, which is featured in the city's annual community report. The city of Wilsonville last week released to the public its “2013 Annual Report for Our Community.”

It is the second such annual report prepared by city staff and covers community events, highlights and what the city considers “key accomplishments” during the past year. It’s also a chance, said City Manager Bryan Cosgrove, to recognize elected officials and the dozens upon dozens of volunteers that help the city continue to offer public services at a high level.

“In addition to providing information to the public about what’s happening in the community, we really want to acknowledge and appreciate the important role that volunteers play when serving on city boards and commissions,” Cosgrove said. “We have found that this kind of outreach helps with our recruitment efforts for volunteer service to the community.”

The report also examines the city’s 2013-14 operating budget, worth $32.9 million this year.

The report is available as a PDF on the city’s website at: ci.wilsonville.or.us/2013AnnualReport.
