The Friends of Historic Champoeg Board has a goal to recruit at least five new board members in the coming few months. Consider this request to step up and give back to Champoeg State Park and this special area.

FHC is looking for dedicated and energetic folks with fresh ideas who want to contribute at the board level to help shape current and future activities supporting interpretive programs at Champoeg State Heritage Area.

There are many areas to help out including: Champoeg Promise school program; Living History programs; costumed interpreter programs; Champoeg Store merchandising; Historic Butteville Store merchandising; fundraising; event planning; grant writing; recruiting; membership coordination; IT support; general office help; and numerous potential new areas to help out such as Champoeg’s natural history, environmental education, biking/hiking trails and disc golf.

The FHC Board meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Champoeg Visitor Center for about two hours.
