Wilsonville Parks and Rec survey results presented

The City of Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 6 p.m., at City Hall, 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop East, to review the findings from a recent Parks and Recreation Master Plan survey.

The survey sought to gather feedback from community members regarding preferences for future City investments in recreational programs, services and parks facilities in Wilsonville. In May a statistically-valid questionnaire was mailed to a random sample of 3,500 households in Wilsonville that was followed in June with a similar online survey.

The survey asked a variety of questions to assess community preferences for the types of parks, facilities, recreation programs and services desired by local residents. The survey results are being used to determine community values, satisfaction levels, needs and priorities for the City's long-term planning efforts to be included in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. At the upcoming meeting the consultants are also planning to provide a timeline and information about the Boones Ferry Park Master Plan project that kicks off at a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 6 p.m. at Boones Ferry Park, 31240 SW Boones Ferry Road.
