When Niche.com released its 2018 K-12 school and district rankings Thursday, Aug. 17, the West Linn-Wilsonville School District and its schools were once again near the top of the list.
Overall, West Linn-Wilsonville was rated the No. 4 school district in the state with a solid 'A' rating. WL-WV scored an 'A' in academics, 'A' in teachers, 'A-' in clubs and activities, 'B-' in diversity, 'A' in college prep and 'B' in health and safety.
West Linn High School ranked the No. 6 public high school in Oregon while Wilsonville High ranked No. 12. Three Rivers Charter School, meanwhile, was the No. 3 middle school followed by Athey Creek at No. 7, Rosemont Ridge at No. 12 and Inza R. Wood Middle School at No. 38.
For primary schools, Willamette Primary was No. 12 in Oregon, Stafford Primary was No. 15, Trillium Creek Primary was No. 21 and Bolton Primary was No. 22. Boones Ferry Primary was No. 35, Sunset Primary was No. 37, Cedaroak Park Primary was No. 38, Boeckman Creek Primary was No. 52 and Lowrie Primary was No. 68.
According to Niche.com, rankings are calculated "using public data and user opinions to assess the key aspects of K-12 schools, colleges and places to live."
At the high school level, Lake Oswego High was No. 1, followed by South Eugene High, Riverdale High, School of Science and Technology and International School of Beaverton. The top five middle schools were Riverdale, John Muir, Three Rivers, Lake Oswego Middle School and Franklin School. The top five primary schools were Riverdale Grade School, Lake Grove Elementary, Westridge elementary, Oak Creek Elementary and John Muir Elementary.
According to Niche.com, Lake Oswego School District was the top district in the state, followed by Riverdale School District, Ashland School District, West Linn-Wilsonville and Corvallis. For the complete rankings, go to niche.com.
