Chamber believes Jim Bernard is the right pick

The Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce endorses Jim Bernard for Board of Clackamas County Commissioners, Position 5.

Jim Bernard has a proven track record of public service. At five years, he is the longest serving member of the Clackamas County Commission. He brings a balanced approach on regional issues and is a strong advocate for increased road funding, a chamber priority. He has used his experience as a small business owner to work with the business community and county departments to improve the business climate of the region.

Commissioner Bernard strongly supported the creation of Wilsonville’s economic development TIF zones, land-use changes necessary for a new middle school to be built, the expansion of Wilsonville’s urban growth boundary to include new housing opportunities at Advance Road/Frog Pond, and will advocate for industrial development in the Coffee Creek and Basalt Creek areas.

All of these items are chamber priorities, and because of this, he has earned the Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Vote for Bernard and Savas

Current County Commissioners Jim Bernard and Paul Savas have brought integrity and moderation to a Clackamas County Commission frequently wracked with political theater and histrionics.

It is high time our County Commission worked as a team for the benefit of all county citizens. Bernard and Savas can help bring about that change.

Don’t let a big money Super PAC highjack this election, as has been done in the past, bringing us more of the same.
