The Wildcats complete their season at Hayward Field in Eugene May 18-20

The Wilsonville girls track and field team placed 20th while the boys placed 22nd in the 5A Oregon State Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene May 18-20.

On the girls side, Magie Woginrich placed seventh in the shot put with a mark of 35 feet, 9.25 inches, Ally Finkbeiner finished tied for seventh in the high jump (4-10); Samantha Prusse finished eighth in the 1,500-meter race (4:58.19 seconds) and 12th in the 800 (2:29.62); Marisa Meyer finished eighth in the triple jump (34-02); Sophia Somerscales finished ninth in the 1,500 (4:59.82); Kaitlyn Dougall finished 11th in the 3,000 (11:26.64); the 4x400 relay team of Prusse, Anja Reeber, Kristine Johnson and Jillian Greene placed ninth (4:14.03); and Greene finished ninth in the 400 (1:01.31)

The boys 4x400-meter relay team of Tharren Blood, Andrew Merrick, Reece Green and Dane Collins earned the Wildcats highest placing — finishing fourth in state with a time of 3:29.19 while Draco Bynum finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 52-3.25, Merrick placed seventh in the 200 (22.8), Blood placed seventh in the 100 (11.29), Nicholas Whitaker placed 12th in the 3,000 (9:14.65), and Parker Shaw placed 12th in the 300-hurdles (42.57).
