Vandals damaged shelters at Southeast 58th Avenue and Foster Road, Southeast Powell Boulevard and 26th Avenue, Powell and 24th and Powell and 34th. It was the fourth time this year that shelters on Powell Boulevard had been targeted by vandals. TriMet probably will install metal panels instead of glass to deter more vandalism.
The damage will cost more than $36,000 to repair, TriMet reported Monday.
Since February, 70 TriMet bus shelters have been vandalized across the city.
