Aloha man shot by deputies dies

A 56-year-old Aloha man who was shot Saturday night by Washington County sheriff’s deputies died early Sunday morning.

The sheriff’s office said Jeffery David Anderson died while being treated at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital for unspecified gunshot wounds.
Anderson was shot at about 8:13 p.m. July 7 when two deputies encountered him carrying a rifle near Southwest 195th Avenue and Farmington Road. Several people reported to emergency dispatchers a man carrying a rifle along Farmington Road.
The man was shot within minutes of contact by deputies.

The Washington County Major Crimes Team is investigating the shooting. No other details have been released.
