Grab a paddle and check out the Tualatin River

Tualatin Riverkeepers invites the community to take a paddle to celebrate the 25th-annual Tualatin River Discovery Day June 28.

The 3.2-mile water tour is self-guided, but the Riverkeepers provide participants with a guidebook showcasing area wildlife as well as the history of this section of the river.
Tualatin River Discovery Day is meant to raise awareness of the health of the river and surrounding environment.
Boats will launch from the Tualatin Community Park at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28, and end at Metro’s Wankers Corner Field Station.

Preregistration is required, as the event sells out every year. The cost is $30 for a canoe or kayak rental (includes paddles and life jackets), though participants may bring their own. Shuttle service back to the launch site is provided.
