Portland woman’s death may have been a homicide

Clark County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a 40-year-old Portland woman whose body was found Jan. 2 on the western shore of Bachelor’s Island near Ridgefield, Wash.

Deputies said Jessica Danielle Newton might have been the victim of “homicidal violence.”

Detectives with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit are looking for anyone who may have had contact with Newton or is able to provide information on her activity during the last two weeks of December.
