Four Thorns on the way up

THORNS

The usual suspects — Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan, Meghan Klingenberg and Allie Long of the Portland Thorns — will be on the 24-player U.S. women’s national team roster for two early-April soccer friendlies versus Russia.

The matches are April 6 at Frisco, Texas, and April 9 at Houston. The first game starts at 5:30 p.m. PT (FS1), and the other begins at 11 a.m. PT (ESPN).
