Jake Thompson (7-0) allowed the Utes one hit over 8 1/3 innings as the No. 1-ranked Beavers completed a three-game sweep in Corvallis.

OSU improved to 28-1, extending its school record for consecutive victories to 23.
Thompson walked three and struck out seven.
Mitch Hickey got the final two outs for his first save of the season.
The Beavers gave up the game’s first run, in the top of the third, then scored three in the bottom of that inning and added single runs in the fourth and fifth.
OSU leadoff batter Nick Madrigal went 3 for 4 with an RBI double in the fourth, after Cadyn Grenier blasted a three-run home run to left in the third.
The final run came on KJ Harrison’s HR to left.
Utah fell to 12-16, 3-9 in the Pac-12.
The Beavers are 12-0 in conference play.
Oregon 7, UC Irvine 1
At PK Park
The Ducks spotted the Anteaters two first-inning runs, then chipped away for the homefield win.
Isaiah Carranza (2-0) gave up seven hits and one walk, with three strikeouts, in six innings, leaving with a 4-2 lead.
Tim Susnara homered with none aboard in the second inning for UO. Kyle Kasser had two RBIs.
With a three-game sweep, the Ducks improved to 21-8, while UC Irvine fell to 12-16.
Portland 2, Pepperdine 1 (16 innings)
At Joe Etzel Field
In 16 innings, the Pilots pulled out a win to deny the visiting Waves a three-game sweep.
Pepperdine took a 1-0 lead with a one-out double, single and wild pitch that led to a sacrifice fly.
But the Pilots pulled it out in the bottom of the 16th. Ryan Kim led off with a double and went to third on a wild pitch. After a walk to Cal Webb, the Waves threw out Kim at home on a 4-2-5-1 play. The next two batters walked, the first intentionally, to score the tying run.
Then pinch-hitter Devin Kopas walked to deliver the victory.
Pepperdine finished with 11 hits to Portland’s eight, three by Matt Kelly.
Kevin Baker started and went 10 innings, allowing seven hits and no walks, with 11 strikeouts.
UP improved to 7-24-1 overall and 3-9 in the West Coast Conference.
Pepperdine is 16-15, 5-4 WCC.

The visiting Wildcats out-hit the Cavaliers 8-4 in the opener and 11-3 in the nightcap.
Concordia slipped to 8-26 overall and 6-18 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
CWU is 21-13, 15-9 GNAC.

At Huston Sports Complex
A three-run eighth propelled the Pioneers to the nightcap triumph and a Sunday split at home.
Sean Shepherd had an RBI double in the eighth, and Kellen Ochi’s two-out single brought home the decisive run.
Ben Beck and Cooper Larson each had three hits for L&C in the opener.
The Pios improved to 7-28 overall and 5-16 in the Northwest Conference, while Whitman fell to 17-17, 1-11.
SOFTBALL
Oregon 11, UCLA 4
At Los Angeles
After losing 2-0 on Friday and 1-0 in nine innings on Saturday — their first defeats of the season — the Ducks took out some frustrations on the Bruins in the series finale.
A six-run third inning gave Oregon a 6-0 lead. UCLA got two runs in the fourth, but gave up three in the fifth.
Madi Bishop capped the big UO inning with a three-run home run.
The Ducks, ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation entering the weekend, improved to 36-2 overall and 9-2 in the Pac-12.
The Bruins dropped to 28-10, 4-5.
Washington 10, Oregon State 8
At Seattle
The Beavers had to play catch-up after surrendering four runs in the bottom of the first.
Alysha Everett of Oregon State drove in five runs, three with a home run in the third, two with a fourth-inning single.
OSU fell to 19-17 overall and 2-7 in the Pac-12.
UW, which took the series 2-1, is 29-9, 6-6.

At Forest Grove
The Pioneers raised their record to 9-20 overall and 9-16 i nthe Northwest Conference.
Pacific fell to 7-26, 5-18 NWC.
Lindsay Yearman’s third hit of Game 1 was a single that scored the winning run in the sith inning.
In the second game, Ashley Bolick’s RBI single broke a 5-5 tie, and an infield throwing error added two runs to the Pioneers’ tally.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Northern Colorado 4, Portland State 3
At Greeley, Colorado
The visiting Vikings were eliminated from Big Sky tournament contention, losing 4-3 for the fifth time this season and fourth time in conference play.
PSU is 2-12 overall, 2-8 in the Big Sky.
UNC is 9-9, 5-5.
MEN’S TENNIS
Portland State 4, Southern Utah 3
At Cedar City, Utah
Senior Ethan Lopez’s three-set victory clinched the PSU victory. He won his match 2-6, 6-0, 7-6 (6) at No. 4 singles, as the Vikings improved to 4-13 overall and 2-8 in the Big Sky.
Southern Urah is 4-16, 1-10 in conference play.
Oregon 4, Arizona 1
At Tucson, Arizona
The 25th-ranked Ducks climbed to 16-4 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-12.
Senior Jayson Amos became UO’s all-time singles wins leader, notching his 91st, one more than Robin Cambier (2009-12).
Thomas Laurent, a sophomore, won in singles for the 27th time this year, tying the Oregon record.
Arizona fell to 9-13, 0-4 in the conference.
MEN’S GOLF
Oregon was fourth at Western Intercollegiate at Santa Cruz, California when play was halted with three holes to go in Sunday’s second round. USC led at 8-under-par 347, with Stanford second at even, Washington 6-over, Oregon 9-over and Arizona State 13-over.
• Lewis & Clark took sixth at the Northwest Conference Spring Classic in Bremerton, Washington, with senior Drew Groshong also sixth.
WOMEN’S GOLF
Oregon State had a share of fifth place out of 14 teams at the end of the 54-hole PING/ASU Invitational at Tempe, Arizona.
• Lewis & Clark placed fourth in the NWC Spring Classic at Bremerton, Washington. Claire Burke of L&C was seventh.
• Oregon was tied for third after the first round of the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California, and the Ducks’ Kathleen Scavo was tied for fifth after her season-low, 3-under 69.
