Scott McCarron and Brian Henninger win the 17th Fred Meyer Challenge at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha, earning a total of $180,000 for their two-day best-ball total of 22-under-par 122.

Stewart Cink and David Toms finish second at 124. Casey Martin and Notah Begay III are one of three teams tying for third. The field also includes Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, who help the event generate more than $250,000 for charities at a Monday night auction and about $750,000 overall from the tournamnt.

• The Trail Blazers trade guards Steve Kerr and Erick Barkley and a 2003 second-round draft pick to San Antonio for guards Antonio Daniels and Charles Smith and center Amal McCaskill.

• A 12th-inning home run by Kory DeHaan, his second of the game, gives the Portland Beavers a 6-5 walkoff win over the Tucson Toros in Pacific Coast League baseball before 5,881 at PGE Park.
