• The Northwest Film Center presents “The Central Park Five,” based on Sarah Burns’ book and co-directed by her husband (David McMahon) and father (Ken Burns). It’s the story of five black and Latino teenagers from Harlem who were wrongly convicted and imprisoned for the raping of a white woman in New York City’s Central Park in 1989. It examines racial and class divide and the failures of America’s justice system. It’s co-presented with the Oregon Innocence Project.
