Pedestrian killed in Lents hit and run

Police are investigating a Saturday two-car crash that killed a pedestrian as a hit-and-run case after one of the drivers fled the scene in Southeast Portland.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, at around 7:26 a.m. July 16, emergency personnel responded to the crash at Southeast Holgate Boulevard and 100th Avenue. The pedestrian was determined to have died.

Police said two cars were involved in the crash, and the driver of one of the cars ran away. The other driver had minor injuries.
