A good time can be had at the Washington Park Summer Festival.

‘Cinderella’

Reminder: Broadway Rose presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beautifully lush “Cinderella,” a family friendly musical featuring the enchanting new Broadway adaptation of one of the most beloved love stories of all time, through Aug. 20. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays at Deb Fennell Auditorium in Tigard.

Big festival

Portland Parks & Recreation’s Washington Park Summer Festival is at the Rose Garden Amphitheater with the following acts (each at 6 p.m.): Friday, Aug. 11, NW Dance Project; Saturday, Aug. 12, Portland Cello Project; Sunday, Aug. 13, Opera in the Park.

Pedalpalooza

Many events have been taking place as Portland and bicycle enthusiasts celebrate Pedalpalooza, and now the big one happens 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 — the annual World Naked Bike Ride. It starts at Irving Park, 707 N.E. Fremont St., and goes until sunset.

Monster trucks

The touring Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party stops at Veterans Memorial Coliseum for three shows: 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. It’s lit monster trucks in the dark, starring Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Boneshaker, Bigfoot and the all-new Gunkster. Each show features a dance party, laser lights and Hot Wheels toy giveaways and an appearance from the car-eating, fire-breathing transforming robot Megasaurus and high flyers. Each show is also preceded by the Crash Zone, a chance for fans to be on the competition floor and stand next to the big machines.

Portland Fashion Week

Organizers have held Portland Fashion Week at various places throughout the years, and this year, the 22nd, it’s Aug. 14-20 with the Fashionista’s Ball Aug. 14 at Lake of the Commons in Tualatin, Press Night the next night at 5 p.m. at the same place and shows at 8 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) Aug. 16-20 at Mercedez-Benz Wilsonville.

Jinkx Monsoon

The two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and Broadway star, drag queen Jinkx Monsoon takes the stage at Keller Auditorium, 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, for the “Everything at Stake” performance.

The Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo takes place at Clackamas County Fairgrounds in Canby, Aug. 15-19.
