PPS, others accused of failing to protect 9-year-old from sexual assault, sued for $9M

Both Portland Public Schools and Multnomah County are facing a lawsuit alleging a student was the victim of sexual assault in 2021-22.

Portland Public Schools and Multnomah County are among the defendants being sued for failing to protect a 9-year-old girl from sexual assault, court documents allege.

According to the documents, the young girl was repeatedly inappropriately touched by male students at Scott Elementary School during school hours in the 2021-22 school year, and at an after-school care program.
