Continuing a Portland tradition, the White Stag sign’s red nose made its debut for the holiday season Wednesday afternoon.

The stag’s red nose was officially lit around 4 p.m. on Nov. 27 in Old Town.
The sign was erected in 1940 and in 1978, the sign was designated a historic landmark. The stag was later donated to the City of Portland in 2010.
