Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in unincorporated Washington County.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what authorities believe to be a murder-suicide involving a father and daughter.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the Baseline Woods Apartments north of Aloha shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Deputies responded to the apartment complex on a welfare check after being contacted by a concerned caller who had not heard from one of the residents. Deputies discovered two dead individuals inside the department.

“This is a father-daughter relationship between the two deceased,” David Huey, from the sheriff’s office, said. “All the investigation is pointing towards to a murder-suicide.”

Huey identified the victims as 16-year-old Larissa Alexander and 45-year-old Nicholas Todd Alexander. Authorities confirmed that they believe the father killed the daughter.

According to information from Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, the father was employed at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville as a corrections officer until he was on a leave of absence as of Oct. 4. He had also been employed at Oregon State Penitentiary in 2015 and 2016.

The crime is under investigation and the medical examiner has been notified. No further information is available as of Thursday afternoon, Dec. 12.

Investigators don’t believe there is a danger to the public. If you have any information on this incident, contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2500 and reference case number 50-24-18037.
