Live updates: Oregon football takes on Ohio State in the Rose Bowl

The Granddaddy of Them All is here to help decide a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals with No. 1 Oregon taking on No. 8 Ohio State at 2 p.m. in the Rose Bowl.

Earlier this season, the Ducks hung on to a 32-31 win over the Buckeyes at Autzen Stadium, helping the Ducks eventually make the Big Ten title game and win the conference crown.

OSU will get a shot at revenge in Pasadena, California, meanwhile Oregon is looking to win the program’s first-ever national championship and has to find a way to beat the Buckeyes twice.

Fourth quarter

0:00: Limar runs it for three yards and that’s the game.

0:30: Ohio State timeout looking at 4th and 13. Will punt to close this game out.

2:00: This one is all but over, Buckeyes have 2nd and 9 from the 50 after the break.

4:43: Gabriel sacked for the eighth time, this one at the Ducks 20 yard line. Ducks punt, OSU ball on their own 37-yard line.

5:04: Whittington one-handed catch under review, only a 4-yard gain. Call stands.

5:41: Ducks get a first down to the 30 on pass to Lowe.

6:07: Touchback, Oregon ball on its own 20-yard line.

6:15: Ducks put a stop to the drive on a third-down incompletion. Ohio State lining up to punt at midfield.

8:15: Tip pass to Henderson goes for 18 more yards to the Oregon 48-yard line.

9:52: Judkins runs for 18 yards to open up the OSU drive to its own 33-yard line.

10:00: TD OREGON: Gabriel hits Holden over the middle for a 27-yard TD, tying the all-time FBS passing TD mark with Gabriel’s 155th of his career. Ducks go for two, don’t get it on a handoff from Ferguson to Sadiq on a trick play. 41-21 Ohio State.

10:22 Gabriel runs the ball, then pitches it back to Whittington at the sideline who goes for the first down to the OSU 9-yard line. However, review said the pitch wasn’t backwards and the ball goes back to the OSU 27.

11:04: Johnson catches a short pass and jukes his way to a first down on 4th and 11 to the OSU 24.

11:52: Another sack as Gabriel tried to scramble and look down field, tackle came from behind at the OSU 37-yard line.

12:47: Ferguson 10-yard completion down to the OSU 35-yard line.

13:30: Ducks attempt a trick play on a double pass to Gabriel that goes no where on an incompletion.

1:30: Gabriel had another pass knocked down at the line, then sacked for the fifth time tonight at the Ducks 41. Oregon set to punt at 4th and 4.

2:13: Kenyon Sadiq makes his first catch of the game. Whittington runs for a first down to the Ducks 43.

2:20: TD OHIO STATE: Henderson takes a quick pitch and is patient behind his blockers for the 8-yard TD. PAT is good. 41-15 Ohio State.

2:46: Judkins runs for a first down and extra yardage given for a face mask penalty on the Ducks trying to bring him down. Buckeyes on the Oregon 8-yard line.

3:29: Smith, still being single covered, makes another catch for 16 yards on the sideline to the Ducks 28-yard line.

4:12: On 3rd and 8, Howard goes back to the Smith well for a first down to the Oregon 44-yard line.

12:40: Lowe drags his toes for a great catch on the sideline to make it 4th and less than one on the Ducks 34. Ducks for it and Gabriel barrels his way for the first down
