March 25, 1942 – January 26, 2025 – Charles Richard Levin, (82), of Scappoose, OR passed away on January 26, 2025.

Charles, fondly known as Chuck, was born to Ed and Selma Levin, in March of 1942, in Valley City, ND. He grew up on the family farm, graduating from Pillsbury High School in Pillsbury, ND in 1961, then served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1966. After serving in the Navy, Chuck moved to Portland, OR where he met and married his wife, Evelyn. The couple settled in Scappoose, OR where they were happily married for 58 years. Chuck and Evelyn had two sons, Brad and Greg.

He worked at Consolidated Metco for 38 years, retiring in 2004. An active man, Chuck spent his time gardening, golfing, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Chuck was well known for the fresh produce from his garden, which he shared liberally with friends, relatives, and neighbors. Loved by all for his generosity and sense of humor, his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence, and sister Doris. He is survived by his wife Evelyn; sons Brad (m. Katie), and Greg (m. Shannon); brother Robert; sisters Marilyn, Janice, Sue Carol, Rita, and Nancy; and three grandchildren.

Military internment will be held April 11, 2025, at Willamette National Cemetery in a private ceremony. Celebration of Life will be held April 12, 2025, in Columbia City, OR.
