The hospitalists — more than 70 doctors and providers who work inside Providence St. Vincent — reached a tentative deal on Wednesday. The ratification vote was tabulated and released by the Oregon Nurses Association on Saturday, Feb. 8.
In a release, union officials said the concerns over patient safety, equity between provider groups and job security were met in the new deal, ” reflecting the collective determination of hospitalists to advocate for meaningful changes that benefit both providers and patients.”
Dr. Jahanavi Chandrashekar, who was on the bargaining team called the agreement “an historic win for our members” in a statement.
