More than 1,000 pieces of evidence, including about $14,000 in cash, gold, silver and high-dollar, new-in-box items were recovered from three Portland-area locations in an ongoing retail theft investigation.

On Tuesday, March 18, the Portland Police Bureau, in collaboration with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, served three search warrants at the following locations:

  • Card Rhino/Next Level Cards, 12416 N.E. Halsey St., Portland.
  • Direct Deals HQ LLC/Limit Deals, 19300 S.W. Boones Ferry Road, Suite 2C, Tualatin.
  • Great Deals 2.0, 5305 N.E. 121st Ave., Suite 509, Vancouver.

Officials said the investigation was centered around the Portland business and revealed direct involvement in the trafficking of suspected stolen goods obtained through buying stolen in-box goods, gift cards obtained by returning stolen goods and reselling items on eBay and Amazon.

Numerous bank accounts belonging to the suspects are being investigated, according to a news release.

“I am proud of the dedication and perseverance shown by our detectives, law enforcement partners, and retailers throughout this investigation,” Portland Police Chief Bob Day said in a statement. “This case is proof of what’s possible when you tackle organized retail theft from a holistic approach.”

No arrests have been made as this remains an active, ongoing investigation.
