15-year-old arrested for alleged teen headshot in Portland

- Portland Police Bureau arrested a man who allegedly broke into an apartment and assaulted a sleeping woman on Wednesday, April 9, in the 4800 block of Southeast 30th Avenue.
A 15-year-old boy turned himself in on Thursday, March 27, for allegedly shooting another teenager early Sunday, March 23.

Portland Police Bureau reportedly responded around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, where they found a boy lying partially underneath the rear of a vehicle in the 6700 block of North Pittsburg Avenue.
The injuries were described as life-threatening and he was transported to a local hospital. Officials said there were several teens at the scene before the shooting, according to a press release.
Police said the alleged suspect turned himself in at the Multnomah County Justice Center and is charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

GoFundMe
The alleged victim is identified by family and friends as 16-year-old Elliot Beck, as reported by KPTV, a sophomore at Roosevelt High School.
His family launched a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $25,000.
“Elliott is a strong young man, full of love, goodwill, and positivity. He brings light to those around him, and now needs our support more than ever,” the GoFundMe reads.
According to the GoFundMe, Elliot has undergone surgeries, including having a portion of his skull removed to alleviate brain pressure. As of Thursday, March 27, he had a feeding tube inserted.
