June 6, 1933 – March 15, 2025 – Irma was born at Emanuel Hospital, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, to Fred and Adora Luethi. She attended Rose City Grade School, Grant High School and one year at Lewis and Clark College. Until marriage, she belonged to Rose City Methodist Church and was a Campfire girl. She loved Camp Namanu.

Irma worked for one year as a receptionist for Dr Raymond Reichle. While raising her children, she sewed some of their clothes, was involved with the PTA, was a room mother, Campfire Bluebird leader, did tole painting & decoupage and sold Tupperware. In 1977 she started working for the Powell Valley Water District as a clerk and retired in 1995.

Irma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, camping, reading, sewing, genealogy research and caring for the pets, especially her cat, Mittens. She was quite involved with church activities. She enjoyed spending time with family, many friends and neighbors – past and present.

Irma is preceded in death by her husband (Jim), her parents, sister Evelyn Norman and brother-in-law Don. She is survived by daughters Sue (Tom) Hickman, Kris Akin (Chuck Beck desc.), and son Dan (Liz) Markel; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held April 12, 3:00 PM at Savage Memorial Presbyterian Church. Donations may be made to the church or Snowcap Community Charities.
