July 24, 1931 to March 4, 2025 – Utahna Johnson Kerr, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 93 on March 4, 2025, of natural causes.

She was born July 24,1931 in Preston, Idaho to Jesse Lamb Johnson and Betrice Gilbert Johnson. She was the oldest of 5 children and learned at an early age to work hard; she always had a curiosity for life and was an avid reader.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and through her life, this profession fit her perfectly as she was kind, compassionate, loving, and intelligent. She was strong and steady and was loved and respected by all who knew her.

She was married August 5, 1952 to Larry Bailey Kerr and together, they raised four daughters, Rebecca, Linda Michelle, Debra and Kathleen. She spent the majority of her adult life in Gresham, Oregon. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many of its auxiliary organizations. She was also actively involved with the Gresham Historical Society for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bailey Kerr, 2 sisters and a brother, daughter Debra (Mark Wilkinson), 2 grandchildren (Daniel Nuffer and Catherine Callister), and a great grandchild, (James Sutherland). She is survived by a younger sister, her daughters Rebecca (Jared Nuffer), Linda Michelle (John Christofferson), and Kathleen (Guy Pribyl), as well as 14 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She will join her husband, Larry, at Willamette National Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held April 4, 2025 at the Mt. Hood Stake Center, 12300 SE 312th Avenue, Boring, Oregon at 1pm. Another event will take place in Orem, Utah on her birthday, July 24, 2025, with details forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the general missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
