October 18, 1948 – April 12,2025

Trista Ann Nelson passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at her home at The Ackerly in Sherwood, Oregon, after many years of living with Alzheimer’s.

Trista grew up in Lake Oswego and graduated from Lake Oswego High School. She went on to attend Oregon State University, and majored in Home Economics. She taught home economics, explored a number of fun and interesting careers, and later worked as a realtor with Windermere. Whether in the workplace or the community, Trista brought energy, creativity, and warmth to everything she did.
An avid athlete  and competitor, Trista enjoyed tennis, golf, pickleball, swimming, and even coached softball. Entertaining was one of her greatest passions, and she delighted in bringing people together around good food and joyful conversation.

Trista shared a life of adventure with her husband Jock, who preceded her in death in 2017. Together they traveled the world, collecting memories and friendships along the way. Her deep love for friends, family, and the Lake Oswego community remained a constant throughout her life.

Trista is survived by her son, daughter, two adored grandchildren, and two sisters. A celebration of Trista’s life will be held at Nordic Northwest on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
