Update: 81-year-old woman with dementia remains missing in NE Portland

Portland Police Bureau needs the public’s help locating Joan Ivan, 81, who has dementia and is believed to have left her residence between Friday, May 16, and Monday, May 19.

As of about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, Ivan is still reportedly missing.

Police said since Monday afternoon, there were three possible sightings of Ivan in the Cully and Old Town neighborhoods.

Officers determined Ivan left her residence near Northeast Stanton Street and North Williams Avenue between 3 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and 9 a.m. on Monday, May 19.

It’s unclear what Ivan might be wearing now, but she was last seen in glasses, a long-sleeved shirt, a Columbia rain jacket and black and white leggings.

Ivan is a Caucasian female, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 110 pounds. She is known to frequent Dawson Park and New Seasons.
