In the space of about a day, Prosper Portland lost and gained leaders.

The nominee to serve as new interim director of the city’s economic development agency is Lisa Abuaf, it was announced Wednesday, June 4. Abuaf currently is Prosper Portland’s director of development and investment.

The Oregonian/Oregonlive reported earlier Wednesday that Prosper Portland’s executive director, Shea Flaherty Betin, is resigning under pressure after expressing opinions regarding the city’s contentious budget shortfall.

Abuaf nomination must be approved by the agency’s five-member board of commissioners. That could happen by the end of the week.
