Still slowed by the loss of Jillian Alleyne to a knee injury, the Ducks bowed out of the Pac-12 tourney in their first game at KeyArena.

The Ducks (20-10) led 17-9 early after a 3-pointer by Kat Cooper. But the Wildcats (12-18) gained the momentum, making 6 of 7 3-pointers in the first half, and led the rest of the way.

Lexi Petersen had 23 points and Maite Cazorla 19 for the Ducks, who now await word on a postseason tournament — the WNIT or NCAAs?

LaBrittney Jones had 26 points for Arizona, which now faces UCLA on Friday in the Pac-12 tourney. The Wildcats went 7 of 10 from 3-point land, 13 of 14 at the free-throw line, shot .482 from the field and and won the battle of the boards.

Loyola Marymount 85, Portland 72, at Las Vegas, Nev.

The Pilots’ season ended in their first game at the West Coast Conference tournament at Orleans Arena.

Corissa Turley had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Darian Slaga added 18 points and eight rebounds and Kaylie Van Loo 15 points for the Pilots (3-27). Portland shot .345, hitting only 4 of 18 3-pointers, while LMU hit 11 3-pointers. The Pilots, however, went 28 of 38 at the free-throw line.

The Lions (11-19) play Saint Mary’s next. Andee Velasco’s 23 points led five players in double figures.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Portland State 89, Northern Arizona 81, at Stott Center

Isaiah Pineiro scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and fellow forward Cameron Forte had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists — the first triple-double in PSU history — as the Vikings won for the third time in four Big Sky Conference games.

“They were pretty good,” PSU coach Tyler Geving said. “(Pineiro) had a good week of practice and it showed with a phenomenal game. And, obviously, Forte’s triple-double is pretty special.”

A 17-4 run in the second half all but put the game away for the Vikings, who led by 27 points at one point.

The Viks (11-17, 7-10 Big Sky) shot .515 from the field and scored 22 points off 14 NAU turnovers.

Kris Yanku had 32 points, five assists and five steals for the Lumberjacks (5-23, 3-14). Ako Kaluna added 17 points and 18 rebounds.
