Snap! Crackle! Pop! These cereal-sly delicious flavors are returning to Salt & Straw

What’s the best way — soggy, two tablespoons splashed over top, dunked in dry?

We’re talking cereal preferences. 

How about mixed with cream, frozen and scooped into a waffle cone? 

Whatever the preference, Salt & Straw Ice Cream is bringing back its Cereal-sly Delicious Series for the fifth year starting Friday, Feb. 28, just in time for National Cereal Day on March 7. 

The flavors taste like childhood nostalgia and reimagine the beloved breakfast treat, including classics like Reese’s Puffs, Rice Krispies and Cap’n Crunch. 

Let’s take a look at the lineup:

• Pots of Gold and Rainbows is crafted with “hand-sorted luck” from the charms, steeping the whole-grain cereal in cream, for the nostalgic bottom-of-the-bowl sweetness, before blending in rainbow ‘mallows — “it’s magically indulgent.”
• Peanut Butter Brownie Cereal Puffs takes the classic Reese’s Puffs to a new level. Chocolate and sweet cream are churned together then marbled with smooth peanut butter before being packed full of bite-size brownies, drenched in peanut butter glaze, with the final addition of Reese’s Puffs cereal. 
• Cornflake Cookies with Marionberry Jam is a spin on the cereal used in everything since the late 1800s. From chicken coating, to casserole toppings, or now ice cream, cornflakes do it all. This flavor douses cornflakes in brown butter, which are thrown into a malty ice cream base and swirled with gobs of marionberry jam. 
• Snap N’ Crackle Marshmallow Treats has returned after three years. Crushed Rice Krispies and whipped marshmallows are baked in lace Florentines before being smashed and scattered throughout salted vanilla ice cream. 
• Captain’s Berried Treasure is a new dairy-free flavor using a blend of coconut and oat milk that are steeped with cereal squares and piles of in-house “crunch berries.” Freeze dried strawberries and blackberries help give the iconic bursts of color. 

All flavors are available as scoops, pints and milkshakes and will last from Feb. 28 to April 3.
