Georgetta Carrie Kehrli

February 10 ,1928 – December 26, 2024 – Our mother Georgetta Carrie {Duerst) Kehrli was born at her grandmother’s home February 10,1928 In Cottage Grove , Oregon to her parents George & Pearl Duerst. She grew up with two loving sisters, Marie (Eklund), and Esther (Taylor).

She attended West Gresham Grade School and graduated from Gresham High School. Mom worked as a secretary at Gresham Transfer Trucking Co. after graduation.

Then came the job we are so happy she accepted, that of devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She and Dad were partners in every sense of the word. Dairy life was long hours and hard work but they loved that we could be together as a family.

She was very talented and creative, especially when it came to her gardening, cake decorating and flower arranging. She also enjoyed participating in Christian Women’s Club, volunteering and

her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids.

Dad and Mom enjoyed traveling, they made it to 48 of the 50 states in their RV . Also cruises and international travel with several trips to Switzerland which was their favorite destination.

The last 10 years she made her residence at Courtyard Fountains where she made many treasured friends.

Dad preceded mom in death in 2014 and daughter Terri in 2020. We take comfort in knowing they are together again.

Left with cherished memories are son Paul Kehrli and daughter Debbie Kehrli, grandchildren Justin Kehrli (Vannessa) , Kelsey Burns {Grant) and 3 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday March 5th at 1:00 At Grace Community Church , 800 SE Hogan Road Gresham, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers , donations can be made in memory to: Portland Rescue Mission, Focus on the Family Radio, Allen Jackson Ministries.
