Marlys Linette German

1937 – 2025 – Marlys Linette German left with the angels on February 21, 2025 in Portland, OR at the age of 87 with her oldest daughter Shelly at her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Linnea Swanson; her husband of 53 years, Dan German; son Scott German; little brother Danny Swanson; and sister-in-law Rosalinn Swanson.

Marlys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the family videographer and was always with camera and a smile to document family milestones. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working at Walmart for over 15 years. Marlys graduated from Scappoose High School in 1955.

Marlys is survived by her daughters Shelly (Jim) Beardsley and Sandra (Chris) Hull; son Daniel (Marcos) German-Domingues; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Jerry Swanson; sister-in-law Micaela Swanson; many nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend and companion Floyd Adams.

The family would like to especially thank Eden Adult Foster Home, owners and staff in Beaverton, OR for their loving care of Marlys in the past several months.
