August 29, 1932 – February 28, 2025 – Heaven received its brightest angel on February 28, 2025. Diane Hollingsworth Barry has passed away. She was an amazing woman, sister, wife, and mother. She was born in Polson Montana August 29, 1932 and grew up in Hamilton, where she attended Hamilton High School. She was a graduate from Stephens College in Columbia MO and Montana State (in Missoula at the time).

In her amazing 92 years, she made a tremendous positive impact on a lot of people, even people she didn’t know or ever met. She was a proud AB Positive blood and platelet donor for over 50 years! She was a Head Lab Tech, a librarian, a founding church member/choir singer/bell ringer/even accompanist, Den mother, Scout Leader, Little League president, stamp collector, book club(s) member, volunteer (over 20 years at NW Medical), historian, avid theater goer and she was able to visit 68 countries! She asked to be remembered as follows- “My life’s motto has been to leave the world a lovelier and happier place for my having been in it. To achieve this we have adopted and loved four beautiful children who have made my life worth living. I have planted perennial flowers, shrubs and trees in each home we lived in. I have tried to maintain a positive outlook on life, read happy stories to my children and grandchildren and to the school children when I worked at the Pioneer school library. I provided music and flowers for our churches and always loved and supported, through positive attitudes, my loving husband, Art.”

Diane is survived by her children Karen, Kathy, Bill and Brian; her sisters Jean Peterson and Alene Tunny; and grandchildren John Fraiser, Daniel Martin and Reilly Barry.
