Reward offered in SE Holgate hit-and-run death

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest of the person who struck a 60-year-old woman in the evening of July 4 as she crossed Southeast Holgate Boulevard at 60th Avenue.

Marlene Popps was seriously injured in the collision. She died Tuesday, July 21, at a Portland hospital.
Police said Popps was hit by a motorcycle or a three-wheeled cycle at about 9:58 p.m. A witness captured the crash on a video, showing the motorcycle throwing Popps to the pavement as it continued to speed west on Holgate Boulevard.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
