‘Little Shop of Horrors’
Reminder: Triangle Productions stages a big horror comedy rock musical during the holidays with “Little Shop of Horrors,” 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays through Dec. 21 (and 2 p.m. Sundays Dec. 8 and 15) at The Sanctuary at Sandy Plaza, 1785 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The story follows a hapless florist shop worker Seymour, who accidentally raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. But, does he get the girl? It’s directed by Donald Horn.

Winter Ice Rink
The Portland Winter Ice Rink has returned to downtown Portland this holiday season. The ice rink is located adjacent to Tom McCall Waterfront Park and the Morrison Bridgehead, 499 S.W. Naito Pkwy. The rink will operate through Sunday, Jan. 5 with 90-minute skate sessions from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. In addition to the ice rink, the Winter Village has returned and showcases Portland in art, music, food, and light through experiences curated by Vida En Color (wintericerinkpdx.com).

NW Dance Project
The Portland dance company puts on its “In Good Company” holiday show, 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at NW Dance Project Creative Center, 211 N.E. 10th Ave. It features works by company-affiliated choreographers and artists (nwdanceproject.org).

As you try to think of Christmas present ideas, consider visiting Portland Saturday Market, the largest continuous open-air arts and crafts market in the United States. It’s celebrating 50 years and also its designation as an Oregon Heritage Tradition. Portland Saturday Market, 2 S.W. Naito Parkway, is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sundays through December.

Wild Arts Festival
