Barlow senior Addi Knight named 2024 Mt. Hood Conference volleyball player of the year

Who is the first person you call when you are named the best volleyball player in the Mt. Hood Conference?

For Barlow senior Addi Knight it was an easy answer: her sister Lilly Knight, who earned the accolade last season.

“I called her last night, she is in California, and she started crying,” Knight said. “I take after big sis for sure.”

“I’ve loved this season, it’s all I could have asked for,” she said.

Knight didn’t have to celebrate the 2024 Mt. Hood Conference volleyball player of the year accolade alone. There were plenty of other smiling Bruins (four first team selections), and Coach Lihau Perreira, who was named co-coach of the year, alongside Central Catholic’s Kealia Nahale-a, in her debut season leading Barlow.
