Two armed robbery suspects were arrested after they crashed during a police pursuit in North Portland Tuesday, Jan. 11.

Two suspects in a string of armed robberies were arrested after they crashed during a police pursuit in North Portland early Tuesday, Jan. 11.

The Portland Police Bureau believes the suspects are linked to an armed robbery near Northeast Mason Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard along with earlier robberies in Vancouver.

Shortly before 8 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in North Portland. By the time officers arrived the suspect had already driven off.

Once the vehicle was found, officers tried to stop it, but the suspects drove away.

The suspects crashed into another vehicle soon after. According to officials, the other driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

Nearly two hours before the crash, Vancouver Police alerted Portland police of multiple armed robberies. Officials said they believe the suspect committed the robberies in both Portland and Vancouver.
