Man killed in Madison neighborhood late Sunday

Police found a man dead with a gunshot wound in Southeast Portland late Sunday. The name of the victim was not immediately released. No one was arrested and no suspect information was released.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, at 11:31 p.m. on Jan. 23, an East Precinct sergeant was flagged down about a person found deceased near Northeast 82nd Avenue and Northeast Milton Street. The sergeant found an adult male deceased with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Homicide detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Milton Street was closed between 82nd Avenue and 85th Avenue during the early stages.
