A new college football season always means new players to watch, and for OSU that rings true at running back. After dominating on the ground in 2021, the Beavers have Deshaun Fenwick and Trey Lowe back after limited roles last season.
Fenwick is sure to provide power running while Lowe is more speedy, giving the OSU backfield options on every play to attack opposing defenses. And of course the Beavs will have some consistency at QB with Chance Nolan returning to the starter position.
Defensively, there’s plenty of players back, but the bigger piece to watch is the schematics under first-year defensive coordinator Trent Bray. He took over for OSU’s bowl game last winter, but now with a full offseason to plan, look to see if the Beavers take a leap on that side of the ball against Boise State.
