The Oregon State football campaign continues on into unfriendly territory as Oregon State travels down to Fresno to face off against the Bulldogs, who are coming off of their own impressive week one win.

Here’s how to watch the action Saturday and what to watch for:

HOW TO WATCH

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

It was 21 years ago that No. 10 Oregon State suffered an upset defeat at the hands of Fresno State, giving the Bulldogs a victory over a highly ranked opponent that has yet to be topped. While the circumstances in this particular matchup are slightly different, the Beavers still have a tough test on their hands. Oregon State soundly defeated Boise State in the season opener, while Fresno State won a lopsided affair against Cal Poly 35-7.

Oregon State will need to clean up the turnovers against the Bulldogs to limit a potent Fresno State offense that looks at the endzone. Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener had quite the game against Cal Poly, throwing for 377 yards with two touchdowns. Running back Jordan Mims had a pair of touchdowns as well. The Beavers will have to be at the top of their game against that duo.

On offense, Oregon State will have to limit the aforementioned turnovers, as well as clean up the penalties (10 for 100 yards against Boise State). Quarterback Chance Nolan, who put up 251 yards and two touchdowns to go along with two picks, will need a similar output to make sure his receiving corps of Luke Musgrave, Anthony Gould, Tyjon Lindsey and others are at the top of their games.
