Guard C.J. McCollum is not expected to play in Portland's regular-season finale Wednesday night at Dallas.

1. Blazers at Dallas, 5 p.m. PT

Portland’s final regular-season game is a chance for LaMarcus Aldridge and the Blazers to tune up for the playoffs.

Aldridge (sprained foot), Nicolas Batum (bruised knee), C.J. McCollum (sprained ankle) and Chris Kaman (sore back) are banged up — but Aldridge is listed as probable to play in his hometown, Batum and McCollum are out, and Kaman is questionable for this game.

Dallas (49-32) is locked into the No. 7 seed in the NBA Western Conference, so coach Rick Carlisle could continue to rest key players Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and Monta Ellis. None of them played Monday, when the Mavs lost 109-92 to Dallas. And Chandler Parsons could miss his sixth game in a row with a knee injury.

2. Mariners at L.A. Dodgers, 7 p.m.

Can Seattle get over the hump at Chavez Ravine?

It’s up to Taljuan Walker, at least in part tonight. The Mariners are counting on the 22-year-old RHP to be a solid starter this season, but Walker got pounded in his first appearance, giving up nine runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings vs. the L.A. Angeles.

Now he gets the ball on Jackie Robinson Night in L.A., facing a Dodgers has beaten the M’s 6-5 in walk-off fashion the past two nights. And that’s with new Mariners slugger Nelson Cruz belting another homer Tuesday night and three in two games against the Dodgers.

3. Oregon at Portland baseball, 3 p.m.

These games have a tendency to be called because of rain (or because one team just doesn’t want to bother with the travel, the elements, the nine innings).

But if this one comes off at Joe Etzel Field on the University of Portland campus, it is supposed to be the first college start for UO freshman Kohl Hostert (6-4, 190, Idaho Falls, Idaho). He’s pitched 5 1/3 relief innings for the Ducks, with one earned run allowed, six strikeouts and no walks.

The Pilots’ probable pitcher is lefty Cole Doherty (1-3, 7.97), a 6-3, 195-pound junior from Round Rock, Texas.

Oregon (21-16) is coming off a 2-1 series win at home over Oregon State.

Portland has one upset win in three tries against the Ducks so far this season. The Pilots (7-31) have lost six in a row, including an 11-3 decision at home to Oregon on April 7.
