NFL Draft: Here’s every former Oregon prep football player to be selected since 2000

The 2025 NFL Draft gets underway Thursday, April 24, with a new batch of over 200 football players getting their name called in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
There have been plenty of Oregon high school football players taken over the years, and more could be on the way this weekend.
Before the new class comes in, we take a look back at the 50 players selected in the draft since 2000 who played their high school days in Oregon.
There are also guys who made the league who were undrafted, but for this exercise, we’re focusing on the ones who heard their name called.
Here’s the complete list of names from 2000 who were drafted into the NFL:
James Whalen, La Salle Prep
– 5th round (157th) by Tampa Bay in 2000 from Kentucky
– Tight end, played three years in the NFL all for Dallas
– Caught 17 passes for 152 yards
AJ Feeley, Ontario
– 5th round (155th) by Philadelphia in 2001 from Oregon
– QB, played 10 seasons for Philadelphia, Miami and the Rams. Had stops with the Chargers and Carolina as well
– Played in 28 career games with 18 starts
– Threw for 4,618 yards with 28 TDs and 31 INTs. Ran for 49 yards and one TD
James Allen, Jefferson (PDX)
– 3rd round (82nd) by New Orleans in 2002 from Oregon State
– Linebacker, played four years in the NFL all for New Orleans
– 94 tackles, 4 forced and 3 recovered fumbles, and one INT for a TD in his career
Joey Harrington, Central Catholic
– 1st round (3rd) by Detroit in 2002 from Oregon
– QB, played six seasons for Detroit, Miami and Atlanta
– 76 career starts and 81 games played, averaged 3,084 yards and 7 TDs a year, 181.4 yards per game
– Totaled 14,693 passing yards with 79 TD passes and 85 INTs. Had 402 rushing yards, no TDs
Troy Polamalu, Douglas
– 1st round (16th) by Pittsburgh in 2003 from USC
– Safety, played 12 seasons all for the Pittsburgh Steelers
– Played 158 career games with 142 starts
– Racked up 783 tackles, 32 interceptions (with three returned for a TD), 14 forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries (two returned for a TD) and 12 sacks
– Won two Super Bowls with the Steelers in 2005 and 2008
– Named first-team All-Pro four times with eight Pro Bowl appearances
– Named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2010
– Selected for the NFL Hall of Fame in 2020
Tim Euhus, Churchill
– 4th round (109th) by Buffalo in 2004 from Oregon State
– Tight end, played four seasons for Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Arizona
– 34 career games with 8 starts, 115 yards receiving with 2 TDs
Derek Anderson, Scappoose
– 6th round (213th) by Baltimore in 2005 from Oregon State
– QB, played 13 seasons for Cleveland, Arizona, Carolina and Buffalo
– Suited up for 78 career games with 49 starts, averaged 139.5 passing yards per game
– Totaled 10,878 passing yards with 60 TDs and 64 INTs for his career. Had 226 rushing yards with five TDs
– Named to the Pro Bowl in 2007 and took seventh in Comeback Player of the Year voting
Bill Swancutt, Sprague
– 6th round (184th) by Detroit in 2005 from Oregon State
– Defensive end, played 8 career games for Detroit
Pat McQuistan, Lebanon
– 7th round (211th) by Dallas in 2006 from Weber State
– Tackle, played seven seasons for Dallas, Miami, New Orleans, Arizona and Tennessee
– Played in 72 career games
Paul McQuistan, Lebanon
– 3rd round (69th) by Raiders in 2006 from Weber State
– Offensive lineman, played eights seasons for Oakland, Seattle and Cleveland
– Biggest impact came in Seattle where he started 40 games and became a Super Bowl champion after the Seahawks won Super Bowl 48
Kellen Clemens, Burns
– 2nd round (49th overall) by the Jets in 2006 from Oregon
– QB, played 12 seasons for the New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and the Chargers
– Played 64 career games, started 21 of them and averaged 63.3 yards per game
– Threw for 4,053 career yards with 16 TDs and 21 INTs. Had 227 rushing yards with three TDs
Mike Hass, Jesuit
– 6th round (171st) by New Orleans in 2006 from Oregon State
– Wide receiver, played two NFL seasons for Chicago and Seattle
– Played in two career games
Legedu Naanee, Franklin
– 5th round (172nd) by the Chargers in 2007 from Boise State
– Wide receiver, played six seasons for the Chargers, Carolina and Miami.
– Played in 73 career games with 21 starts, averaged 16.9 receiving yards per game.
– Totaled 108 catches for 1,232 yards in his career with four TDs
Kevin Boss, Philomath
– 5th round (153rd) by NY Giants in 2007 from Western Oregon
– Second ever player drafted from Western Oregon in Division II
– Tight end, played six seasons for the Giants, Raiders and Kansas City.
– Played in 74 career games with 58 starts, averaged 27.5 receiving yards per game
– Made 150 career catches for 2,033 yards with 22 TDs
– Started all four games of the 2007 postseason with the Giants, making five catches for 142 yards
– Won Super Bowl 42 with the Giants, defeating the undefeated New England Patriots
Dante Rosario, Dayton
– 5th round (155th) by Carolina in 2007 from Oregon
– Tight end, played eight seasons for Carolina, Miami, Denver, the Chargers and Chicago.
– Played in 122 career games with 33 starts, averaged 10.1 receiving yards per game
– Made 116 career catches for 1,235 yards with eight TDs
Jordan Kent, Churchill
– 6th round (210th) by Seattle in 2007 from Oregon
– Wide receiver, played two seasons for Seattle and the Rams
– Played in 14 career games with one start, caught one ball for five yards
Roy Schuening, Pendleton
– 5th round (157th) by the Rams in 2008 from Oregon State
– Offensive lineman, played one NFL season with one game played
David Vobora, Churchill
– 7th round (252nd) by the Rams in 2008 from Idaho
– Taken with the last pick in the 2008 NFL Draft
– Linebacker, played four seasons for the St. Louis Rams and Seattle.
– Played in 40 games with 16 career starts
– Made 98 career tackles with two sacks and one forced fumble
Slade Norris, Jesuit
– 4th round (126th) by the Raiders in 2009 from Oregon State
– Linebacker, played two seasons for the Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville

Matt Slauson, Sweet Home
– 6th round (193rd) by the Jets in 2009 from Nebraska
– Guard, played 10 seasons for the New York Jets, Chicago, the Chargers and Indianapolis
– Played 116 career games with 113 starts
Ndamukong Suh, Grant
– 1st round (2nd) by Detroit in 2010 from Nebraska
– Defensive tackle, played 13 seasons for Detroit, Miami, the Rams, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia
– Played in 199 career games with 191 starts with 600 tackles, 71.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries with three going for touchdowns.
– Three-time first team All-Pro with five Pro Bowl selections
– Named the 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year
– Won Super Bowl 45 with Tampa Bay with 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks across four games started

Jordan Poyer, Astoria
