Published 1:38 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2025

Cinco de Mayo celebrates Mexican pride and culture, featuring parades, music, food and a fan favorite: drinks.

And it’s really not just about any ‘ol drinks, it’s about the alcoholic kind that will make you want to throw on your best dancing shoes.

Here are a few organized events in Portland bound to make you fiesta until you siesta:

🌮 Portland Tacos & Margs Crawl
From noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, attendees can indulge on tacos and margaritas galore starting at Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub, 112 S.W. Second Ave., Portland.

Hundreds will flock to the city’s restaurants and bars for this Bar Crawl Nation hosted event. It combines elements of a food festival, treasure hunt and fiesta-themed bar crawl in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

A party kicks off the festivities, complete with entertainment, red carpet entrance, professional photography and themed-prizes. Then, it’s time to get to crawling.

Location include Kelly’s Olympian, Shanghai Tunnel Bar and Tuli’s. Each venue will have specialty margaritas and taco treats, fulling guests up for their next adventure.

This is a 21 and older event. Tickets range from $24.99 to $54.99.
