Oregon State turned back a final-day challenge from Tulsa to win the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Nevada.
OSU shot an 8-under-par 280 in the third round for a 26-under 838 total and four-stroke victory. Tulsa, which surged into the lead on the front nine, finished at 842 with 282 on Tuesday. Augusta was third in the 17-team field at 846.
Portland State placed 14th at 891 at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

OSU sophomore Ellie Slama from South Salem High wound up tied for third at 10-under 206, shooting a 1-under 71 in the final round.
Lorena Tseng of Tulsa closed with a 65 to win at 203, two ahead of Brigitte Thibault of Fresno State.
Olivia Benzin and Nicole Schroeder of OSU tied for 11th. Benzin shot 70 and Schroeder 69 on Tuesday, both finishing at 5-under 211, one ahead of teammate Mari Nishiura, who had a 72 and was 15th.
Portland State’s low scorer, junior Jasmine Cabaljar, shot a career-best and tied for 19th at 215.
• Concordia finished third out of x teams in the Sonoma State Invitational at Rohnert Park, California.
Shantel Antonio tied for first with a 3-over 147 total, shooting 77 in Tuesday’s final round. Megan Daleo of Sonoma State had a 72 to get to 147.
Sonoma State won at 25-over 601. Academy of Art totaled 603, Concordia 606. Cal State Monterey Bay was fourth at 621.
COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER
The Portland Pilots are ranked seventh in the nation this week by United Soccer Coaches. That’s up two slots from the week before.
UP (10-0-3) and West Coast Conference rival Saint Mary’s (14-0-0) are the only remaining undefeated teams.
The top six, in order, are Wake Forest, Indiana, Kentucky, Saint Mary’s, North Carolina and Virginia.

Concordia is No. 16 in this week’s NCAA Division II rankings, 10 spots down from last week and after a 2-1 loss at Western Washington, which moved up from 18th to 15th.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Linfield checks in at No. 25 in this week’s NCAA Division III coaches poll, after being left out a week ago. The Wildcats trail No. 18 Whitworth in the Northwest Conference standings.
The d3football.com poll has Linfield at No. 24, the same spot as last week, with Whitworth up four slots to 14th.
• Eastern Oregon is 18th and Southern Oregon 23rd in the NAIA coaches poll.
Also from the Frontier Conference, Rocky Mountain of Montana is 13th and Montana Western is 16th.
EOU moved up one spot from last week, while SOU fell nine places.
COLLEGE MEN’S BASKETBALL
Western Oregon is picked for third and Concordia 10th by coaches in the 11-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Saint Martin’s got nine of 11 first-place votes and 118 points in the poll. Seattle Pacific came in second with 105 points. WOU received the other two first-place votes and had 94 points.
Fourth through ninth, in order, were Western Washington, Alaska Anchorage, Montana State Billings, Northwest Nazarene, Central Washington and Alaska.
Concordia finished ahead of Simon Fraser.
COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL
After beating Cal and falling to No. 2 Stanford last week, Oregon remained 16th in the national rankings.
BYU continues to lead, with Minnesota third, Penn State fourth and Pittsburgh fifth.
USC is 15th, Washington State 19th, UCLA 20th, Washington 21st and Arizona 23rd.
GOLF
The Eastmoreland men’s and women’s clubs were named Oregon Golf Association member clubs of the year for their contributions to golf, the community or OGA.
Rose City Golf Club has been named Facility of the Year by the OGA.
