Older adults are invited to participate, talk about some of their concerns, receive resources and ideas, and see how helpful a discussion with peers can be.

Oregon Advance Directive: Tuesday, Oct. 3, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Canby Adult Center, 1250 S. Ivy St., Canby. We all want our end-of-life decisions to be respected by our doctors and our family. Learn how the power of an Advance Directive informs others of your decisions. Explore your own wishes about end of life care. Find the way to talk of these matters with family. Learning from Grief and Loss: Thursday, Oct. 17, 10-11:30 a.m. Juanita Pohl Center, 8513 S.W. Tualatin Road, Tualatin. Grief is normal, but it can be more difficult as you age and the losses seem to come all the time. Learn how losses can affect your sense of self as well as your health. Bridging Life Transitions: Tuesday, Oct. 22, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Milwaukie Center, 5440 S.E. Kellogg Creek Drive, Milwaukie. Everyone’s life includes transitions. As older adults, we want to manage these transitions effectively while remaining as independent as possible. Explore ways to cope using a lifetime of strengths and learned skills.
