This three-story hotel is being completely renovated including a seismic upgrade, adding a restaurant to the ground floor instead of retail and construction and a new interior staircase.


Central Courthouse PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JULES ROGERS - The new courthouse will protect against seismic threats as well as protect witnesses, victims, jurors, the public and criminal defendants by giving them separate areas that dont cross paths, unlike the current courthouse.

Multnomah County's new Central Courthouse is estimated to cost $300 million and open in 2020. The site was formerly home to the Veritable Quandary, whose chefs have found a new venue at the Q Restaurant after the demolition.

Macadam ApartmentsPAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: CRAIG BOLLEN - The two buildings are bisected by old rails that are planned to become future light rails, and a greenway trail runs along the river side of the site.

Located right on the river in John's Landing, this residential building includes two six-story buildings — one with 167 parking spaces and 108 apartments totaling approximately 116,000 square feet, and the other fronting the river with 68,5000 square feet of 76 apartments.

The modern living style focuses on the natural landscape of the river, native habitats and pedestrian-friendly paths. Plans include roof gardens, bike storage and kayak storage.

The site was previously home to a demolished restaurant, office and parking.
