Nearing completion this fall, the Grove Hotel is located along West Burnside Street. The developers were selected by the Portland Development Commission, which bought the long-vacant property for $3.7 million years ago.

The redevelopment, projected to cost $30 million, will turn the three-story boutique hotel built in 1906 into a nine-story, 43,700 square foot building with the tower replacing the old theater addition and maintaining the three-story height along Burnside. It will have 114 rooms.

Plans include ground floor restaurant and lounge space alongside two more retail options in the three-story segment, a rooftop garden bar, an open lobby and a coffee shop.

The plans for this six-story mixed-use building include 157 residential apartment units and two ground floor live-work units. Retail space on the ground floor will front Burnside Street, and bike parking is included.

A new mixed-use building is under construction along Bybee Boulevard. Plans for the one-story building include two tenant spaces with restrooms and a live-work residential unit. The site was formerly home to a 1911 residential structure that was converted to storefront commercial retail space. MBM Properties has the listing, which is already filled by Boxer Ramen and Unitus Credit Union. Tenant improvements have begun and the building will be delivered to tenants for completion of build-out during the first few weeks of October.
