BEAVERTON FARMERS MARKET - Ginger RapportThe bounties of autumn are on display at the Beaverton Farmers Market in September, with plenty of activities, fresh fall produce and sun-loving attendees.

Located across from the Beaverton Library, the market is comprised of more than 100 vendors, including nursery growers, farmers, and ranchers - both conventional and organic - and artisan food producers.

On September 16, don't miss Mexico and Central American Independence Day Celebration, with music, crafts, piñatas and a childrens book reading from HYPERLINK "" author Patricia Morrissey!

On September 23, it's Friends of Animals Day! We've invited many of our favorite animal shelters and animal welfare groups to the market. They'll be on site, talking about the various ways we can help out furry friends! (Please note: house pets are not allowed in the market, but service pets are).

Look forward to these fresh sounds all month:

  • September 2 - Rogue Blue Grass
  • September 9 - Rogue River Band
  • September 16 - Mexican Independence Day
  • September 23 - Boka Marimba
  • September 30 – Blackbird
  • Market Sprouts kids club:

  • September 2 - Natural Grocers will be hosting a recycled egg carton seedling craft.
  • September 16 – Mexico in the Market, with piñatas, corn-husk dolls and a reading of "Magdalena's Picnic."
  • September 30 - Natural Grocers hosts a DIY No-Bake Apple Cookie build.
  • The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Come on by - and don't forget your shopping bag!
