Wood bear missing from Cedar Mill yard

Washington County sheriff's deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating a 5-foot-tall wooden bear statue stolen from its owner in the 1000 block of Northwest 102nd Avenue on Saturday.

Deputies responded to a report that the bear statue was stolen overnight from the Cedar Mill neighborhood. The bear is estimated to weigh more than 200 pounds. Deputies believe it would require more than one person to carry away the statue, said Sgt. Bob Ray, sheriff’s office spokesman.
